In August of 2003, Tampa Florida spawned Asylum 414. These lunatics
have found each other and put their heads together to create a sound that some have labeled "Sheer Insanity"; combining
styles of Metal, Aggressive Hardcore, Horror Core, Alternative Metal, and groove. The founding patients, Adam (MADADAM) on
drums, Charlie Brown on 1st guitar, and Shaggy on 2nd guitar have from the beginning implemented treatments including Beatings,
Hostile and hysterical fits, and making a lot of insane noise. These minds have been locked up for far too long and have finally
broken the chains of rational thought and conduct to become a new sound to the ears of those who enjoy a TwIsTeD yet TRUTHFUL
look at life and the nightmare we live in. With music ranging from Apocalyptic Shredding to somber and dark reflections, they
have unleashed an inner surge of mutiny mixed with madness witch is Asylum 414.
The Asylum released a self titled full length cd in 2004 witch they recorded, produced,
and distributed themselves. In 2007, with the new madmen added to the line-up, they released a new full length cd to let fans get a taste of the new insanity. New patients locked
up, Asylum 414’s fan base has taken off. They have taken first place in the, Subcity Shows, Battle of the Bands, have
been named “ Band of the Month” August, first place winner of Metal Maelstrom’s Battle
of the Bands as well as winner of the Metal Masters, Captain Morgan’s Battle of the Bands. Their music has been featured
on such radio stations as Tampa’s 88.5 Cacophony, which on the week of June 12th 2007 Asylum 414 was rated
#1, and online radio Metal Maelstrom along with many other lunatic friendly sites such as; Myspace.com, Mixposure.com, Local
Band Network.com, Reality Snap.com just to name a few. And of course patients can always get their fix of the Asylum at their
official home site Asylum414.com.Everywhere Asylum 414 has been heard to date, they have gotten
great response. With the number of plays and downloads through radio and online outlets across the country, the Asylum is
perched to take the music scene by storm. They live by the philosophy that music should be something to hear as well as something
to see. In resent months the Asylum has been trying to implement a twisted look to their twisted sound with awesome result.
Though not yet completely refined, fans are loving the new look. With every new move they make, fans grow in number and intensity
for these five lunatics. Asylum 414 is quickly becoming a musical force to be reckoned with!
